Support

For a problem, a question or an idea, email [email protected]. You'll hear back from Jeroen, who makes RelaDuo.

It helps to mention your iPhone model, iOS version, the RelaDuo version (shown in TestFlight or the App Store) and what happened. Please don't send private answers or screenshots with personal details unless you want to.

Connecting with your partner

How do we connect our two phones?

One of you taps Invite your partner and sends the link. The other taps the link with RelaDuo installed. If the link opens this website instead, install RelaDuo first and tap the link again.

My partner has an Android phone. Can we use RelaDuo?

Not yet, but it's next on the list: a web app for the Android partner that opens from the same invite link. They'll be able to answer questions, check in, react and approve requests. Blocking apps on Android won't be part of it.

Do we both need iCloud?

In the current beta, two-phone sharing uses Apple iCloud on both phones. The next update moves to RelaDuo's own end-to-end encrypted sync, which doesn't need iCloud. Solo use and one-phone use never need it.

Phone time

Can my partner see which apps I use?

No. The apps and websites you pick, and how long you use them, stay on your iPhone. Your partner sees the plan you agreed on, requests for extra time and whether a session is running.

Why are apps still blocked?

Open the Phone time tab and look for a running session or a daily balance. They can overlap. You can end your own session or plan in the app, or turn off Screen Time access for RelaDuo in iPhone Settings → Screen Time.

Why does RelaDuo ask for Screen Time access?

That's how iOS lets an app pause other apps, only for the apps you choose and only on your own iPhone. You can say no and still use everything else.

Your data

How do I export or delete my data?

Open Settings → Data & privacy. You can export your journal or reset RelaDuo on this iPhone. A reset doesn't remove what your partner already has on their phone. See the privacy policy for details.

I lost my phone. Is our space gone?

In most cases your partner can invite you again from their phone, and your shared journal comes back. With the new encrypted sync you'll also get a one-time recovery code when you create your space. Keep it somewhere safe.
